Apply Your Specialty Transfer in 6 Steps

Follow these steps for pressing, peeling and finishing your Falcon Instant Peel transfers.

  1. DTF transfer positioned on a charcoal garment before heat pressing

    Prepare the Garment

Use a lint roller to remove any debris so the fabric is clean and smooth. Then pre press the fabric on its own for 4 to 5 seconds using medium to high pressure to remove moisture.

Temperature: 320 to 330°F for Puff transfers, 310 to 320°F for all other Specialty transfers. Note: Make sure the fabric is fully dry. If it is not, repeat the pre press.
  2. Heat press positioned over a DTF transfer on a garment

    Position Your Transfer

Some transfers have a thin protective layer on the back. If yours does, remove it first. Place the print on the fabric where you want it, with the design facing up. You can use our thermal tape to tape the transfer in place, ensuring a steady press.

  3. Carrier film being peeled from a DTF print on a charcoal garment

    Heat Press Your Transfer

Press for 15 seconds using medium to firm pressure (30 to 40 psi).

Temperature: 320 to 330°F for Puff transfers, 310 to 320°F for all other Specialty transfers. Note: Always test on a scrap piece first. Temperature and time may need adjusting based on your apparel, fabric type or heat press. Afterwards, let the design cool, then carefully remove the carrier sheet to reveal the design.
  4. Protective cover sheet placed over a DTF print for the final press

    Peel Off

Let the design cool, then carefully remove the carrier sheet to reveal the design.

Note: Wait 24 hours before washing the garment.
