Choose Your Effect

Puff Transfers: Raised Texture

Puff transfers expand during pressing to create a soft, raised finish. Choose this effect when you want visible dimension and a textured feel.

Simple shapes with adequate spacing work best. Fine lines and closely packed details may lose definition as the design expands.

Metallic Transfers: A Shiny Finish

Metallic transfers give designs a polished, metal-like shine. Use them to highlight logos, lettering and graphic accents on suitable apparel.

Choose metallic when you want a shiny surface rather than the scattered sparkle of glitter.

Glitter Transfers: Sparkle and Texture

Glitter transfers create a sparkling, textured finish that catches the light. They’re an option for statement designs, celebration apparel and event merchandise.

Choose glitter when sparkle is the main feature of your design.

Reflective Transfers: A Light-Responsive Effect

Reflective transfers catch direct light, making designs stand out when illuminated by a camera flash or headlights. Use them for distinctive logos and accents on suitable garments.

Reflective transfers need an external light source; they do not glow in the dark.

2-Tone Puff Transfers: Raised Contrast

Create a layered look with a raised black centre and a contrasting puffed edge. This finish adds definition and dimension to simple logos and graphics. Leave enough space between design elements so the puff effect can develop clearly.

Chameleon Transfers: Colour-Shifting Shine

Chameleon transfers create an iridescent finish that changes colour with the light and viewing angle. Choose this effect for logos and graphics that catch the eye as the garment moves.

Glow-in-the-Dark Transfers: A Light-Charged Glow

These transfers absorb light and release a soft glow in darkness. They add a playful detail to novelty designs, event apparel and themed collections. The glow depends on prior light exposure.

Silicone Transfers: Smooth and Flexible

Silicone transfers give logos, lettering and graphics a smooth finish with a soft, flexible feel. Consider them for suitable activewear, sportswear and team apparel when you want a clean, tactile design.

3D Silicone Transfers: Glossy Dimension

Add height and definition with a raised silicone finish. These transfers combine a glossy surface with flexibility, making them an option for dimensional logos and accents on suitable sportswear and branded apparel.

Subli Block Transfers: Protection Against Dye Migration

Subli Block transfers include a barrier designed to reduce dye migration from sublimated fabrics into the printed design. Consider this option for sublimated jerseys and coloured polyester garments where underlying dyes could affect the transfer’s appearance.

Test your chosen garment before full production to check colour stability and adhesion.

Check Your Fabric Before Ordering

The garment must tolerate the pressing temperature required for your chosen effect. Cotton and cotton-blend garments are common starting points, but suitability also depends on the fabric’s finish, stretch and construction.

For polyester, nylon, coated fabrics or heat-sensitive garments, contact us with the material details before ordering.

Test the selected transfer on a spare garment or fabric sample before decorating a full batch. Check adhesion, appearance and any changes to the fabric after pressing.

Prepare Your Artwork

Upload your final design at the intended print size. Check spelling, dimensions and spacing before submitting your order.

For puff designs, leave enough room between elements for the raised effect to develop. If your artwork contains small text, fine lines or several colours, ask us to review its suitability for the selected finish.

How to Apply Specialty Heat Transfers

Falcon’s specialty application guide lists these settings:

  • Puff: 320–330°F.

  • Metallic, glitter and reflective: 310–320°F.

  • Pressing time: 15 seconds.

  • Pressure: Medium to firm.

  • Peeling: Allow the transfer to cool before removing the carrier.

Remove lint and pre-press the garment for 4–5 seconds to remove moisture. Remove any protective backing specified for the transfer, position the design and press using the appropriate settings.

Let the design cool, then carefully peel away the carrier. Wait at least 24 hours before washing.

Test first and follow any product-specific instructions supplied with your order.
